Funding Priorities

The Foundation’s funding priorities include youth and community initiatives, law enforcement personnel wellness and family support, training and professional development, scholarships and awards, programs that strengthen trust between law enforcement and the public, and an annual nine-week citizens’ academy offering instruction, demonstrations, and ride-alongs for 20 community members.

Youth Programs & Law Enforcement Wellness

The Foundation will support proactive, community-oriented initiatives for youth, along with programs that promote the wellness and well-being of law enforcement personnel. Personnel wellness efforts may include mental health counseling, peer support programs, and assistance for officers’ families during times of crisis or following a line-of-duty death.

Citizens' Academy

In addition, the Foundation plans to create an annual nine-week citizens’ academy for 20 community members. Participants would meet one night per week and be introduced to each agency division, with instruction on each division’s purpose, demonstrations, and opportunities for ride-alongs.
